Overseas citrus season has started – update per product

The citrus season in the southern hemisphere has officially started. The first organic lemons from South Africa and Peru have arrived and are being well received. Deliveries from Chile and Argentina will follow shortly, ensuring a broad and stable supply.

Top-quality grapefruit

The organic Star Ruby grapefruit from South Africa has now arrived – slightly later than usual, but of excellent quality. Available until approximately week 40.

Oranges: Egypt now, South Africa to follow

For oranges, we are awaiting the first deliveries from South Africa, which we expect in week 27. Until then, excellent juicing oranges from Egypt are available, which perform well both as juice oranges and table oranges. A valuable addition to any citrus programme.

We are seeing a few challenges with South African Navel oranges: supply is limited this season and larger sizes will be available in the first few weeks. Want to place an order? Be sure to do so in time!

Mandarins on their way

The first Tango mandarins from South Africa are also on their way and are expected in week 28. Unlike previous years, availability is very good this season.
